Early one morning I was out walking my dog, just before going to work. My son couldn't walk the dog this morning, so even though I was dressed up in my suit I figured I could take my dog on a quick walk around the neighborhood. A little while later, when my dog finished his "business", I attemped to scoop up his droppings using a simple plastic shopping bag. Unfortunately for me, the bag broke open just enough for me to soil my hand....and then it dropped down until my nice slacks....Ugh!!! Expletives shot out of my mouth, as my neighbors got an earful of my misery. I got mad at the broken plastic bag, mad at my dog, mad at everyone. It just ruined my day...

I knew there had to be a better way. I went to the pet store looking for a better way. I saw plastic scoops, scoops that looked like my children's sand-playing scoops, even fancier rigs that had built-in handles, hand-rakes, etc. Some of these items were bulky. Everything I found at the store required that I either clean it after its use, or dispose of a very expensive bag/plastic/liner system. There had to be a way to scoop up pet waste without having to "clean up" or change liners/bags afterwards. I started working in my garage until I developed something that met all my needs: SCOOPICK!
